Come join us, learn new treatment approaches to challenging cases and observe a master at work! Following her lecture, Kiiko will be treating patients in a clinical theatre format.
Day One: Kiiko Matsumoto will lecture on the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions. This will include treatments for depression, anxiety and PTSD, as well as strategies to address insomnia, a core symptom affecting patients’ wellbeing and their ability to stabilize and recover. Kiiko Matsumoto has been treating psychiatric patients at the Kinko Psychiatric Hospital in Yokohama, Japan since 1990. She is co-director of Acupuncture Research for Depression after Head Injury, at the Kinko Psychiatric Center.
Day Two: Kiiko Matsumoto will continue her lecture program with the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders. This will focus on the link between the digestive system and the endocrine system that causes common disorders such as diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome, as well as thyroid and adrenal patterns.
Kiiko Matsumoto is considered a “living Master of Acupuncture”. A world-renowned teacher and author, she has integrated the work of important Japanese acupuncture masters such as Master Nagano, Master Kawai and Dr. Manaka into a coherent and clinically powerful system. Kiiko Matsumoto presents at seminars worldwide and runs a private practice in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts.
Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture is a palpation-based Japanese acupuncture style, which utilizes a systematic, easy-to-learn palpation method that provides instant feedback to the practitioner. This feedback is used to assess the patient’s presentation and monitor the effects of the treatment while the patient is still on the treatment table.
